Praetor Defense Holsters
Lance Kilgore
Praetor Defense holsters from Blade-Tech are well designed for use in a variety of applications.

The Praetor Defense line, new from Blade-Tech, has created a holster to compete with small-scale niche holster manufacturers while eliminating the wait time. Their holsters are sturdy and sleek, providing a fast draw time from an easily concealable position. Every detail has been thought of.

The Praetor Defense rides higher and tighter on the hip than most competition holsters making it less burdensome. By providing a studier base for the gun to sit the holster is more comfortable for all-day carry. It tends to drag less on gun belts and, because of how close the holster hugs the gun to the body, it is easy to conceal.

The belt loops, while not ideal for some of the thicker competition belts, hold the holster firmly in place on an inch and a half gun belt. Because of the size of the loops they can be difficult to slide on and off the belt but prevent holster movement throughout the course of the day.

In competition the Praetor Defense holsters are quick to draw from, leaving the gun close enough to the body for easy concealment but not so close that it is difficult to get a good firing grip on the gun from the holster. The mag pouches are the same way, allowing quick access from an ideal concealment position.

In the creation of these holsters Blade-Tech has used enough kydex to keep them sturdy while still keeping them lightweight and pliable. The holsters can stand up to day to day battery without becoming too heavy or burdensome. The lightweight design has held up to months of every day carry and competition use with several West Coast Armory range employees.

The Praetor Defense holster is an ideal all-around holster: it has good retention, it is fast to draw from and it is concealable. The Praetor Defense line provides an available platform for all applications from competition to law enforcement to every day carry.
