Limited Edition AK106-UR: Excellent Build Project
Roy Lin
Chambered in 5.56 NATO, this unusual rifle in look and function serves as an excellent project foundation

Arsenal is a Las Vegas based AK pattern rifle specialist that imports high end AK pattern rifles, and then builds them to meet US federal regulations regarding foreign firearms.  While Arsenal makes brisk business selling civilian versions of popular Eastern European weaponry, unusual models of note get released every so often.... and this is one of those unusual weapons!

This rifle here you see is a WA state legal version of a "Krink" (short barreled version) Kalashnikov pattern chambered in 5.56 NATO.  Due to WA's regulations, all rifles must have barrels above 16" in length, and this weapon meets that regulation by extending its barrel well past its original design point.  However, users can attach dummy suppressors to cover and protect the rifle, or even permanently attach a shroud, flash hider, or even a sound suppressor to meet applicable state and federal regulations!

This rifle is equipped with many premium features, including a chrome lined, cold hammer forged barrel for exceptional accuracy and durability, as well as folding stock which enhances ease of transport and stowage.  The mechanics of the rifle are familiar, but there are a number of updates.  Field stripping is made easier with a captured receiver cover, and the rifle is easily broken down into its component parts.

This rifle would make a good buy for collectors, or hobbyists looking to build a unique rifle.  West Coast Armory has all the resource you'd need to build up an unique and impressive Krink clone if that was your goal!
