Ruger American Rimfire - Bolt Action, Box Fed
Blaine Chapman
A new challenger approaches as Ruger brings out their brand new Rimfire American rifle.
For years, Ruger has created the dependable 10/22 platform, a rifle that is more reliable than the ammunition that you put in the magazine. The Ruger American Rimfire is a bolt action rifle that feeds fr0m a Ruger BX style magazine. This means that not only can you pick up a BX-25 magazines, but the avid bolt action shooter can load up an aftermarket 50 round magazine. It comes with a dovetail cut for rings as well as a cheek riser if you want to use a scope. If you do not require a magnified optic, it comes with iron sights, the front one is a green fiber optic, making it extremely easy to pick up in any lighting conditions. It comes with the Ruger ten (10) round magazine. The Ruger Marksman trigger is amazingly crisp and adjustable between 3 and 5 pounds. From pictures or just hearing the description I know many people are thinking, “That sounds like a 77/22!” You would be correct in theory, but something just feels different. It is like comparing a brand new Mustang with a 2005 Mustang. Yes they look similar, but the newer model is more refined. The Ruger Rimfire American just put Bolt Action .22LR on the top of my firearms to get list and at this price point, it is not going to remain a dream for very long.
*Does not come with BX-25 pictured
