All New Nighthawk Custom Night Owl
Blaine Chapman
We received one of the Night Owls released before Shot Show, and I am impressed.

Nighthawk Custom surprised us this last week by delivering two pistols to us. One that we have on standing order to ship whenever they are available and the second, we were not expecting until after Shot Show.

The first is of course the Nighthawk Custom Costa Edition, which features a gorgeous polygonal cut slide, with top serrations that help yo unaturally point the pistol before you have even begun aligning the dog earred rear sight with fiber optic front. The grips are aggressive while being comfortable and the pistol sits comfortably in your hands. The test target has one hole at 15 yards with three types of ammo.

The second pistol is the new Night Owl with a 5" barrel, Nighthawk's new 9mm pistol. The wide serrations feel great and your fingers fall in between them easily and comfortably. The flat trigger is different than most of the Nighthawks that I have used, but is right where it should be for my trigger finger at any height. The signature single piece magazing well and mainspring housing paired with the VZ grips give the pistol that little bit that takes it from excellent to outstanding. The two shots on the test target are touching at 15 yards. If you want a custom, accurate 1911, act now; they tend to disappear while you are thinking about buying one.
