The Walther PPS was originally introduced at the start of the compact single-stack, striker-fired pistol craze, and now, 9 years later, they've made some improvements.
The Walther PPS M2 is an upgrade in every sense of the word. The grip is much more comfortable and reminiscent of the PPQ. The trigger has been lightened up and yet still has enough weight to inspire confidence while concealed carrying the pistol. With the new front serrations on the slide, the pistol feels great in the hand and points extremely well. It is easy to use thanks to the change to the standard magazine button. The lack of an accessory rail gives the pistol a very streamlined look, that fits the new standard for a single stack 9mm. This pistol is exactly what an upgrade should be: improved ergonomics, better trigger, more common, easy to use controls.
